Northern Discovery Metals Completes Fieldwork at the Vent Copper Project

Field crews demobilizing following completion of geological mapping, prospecting and soil and rock sampling

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northern Discovery Metals Inc. (CSE: NOR) (FSE: M1V0) (“Northern Discovery” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Stage 1 fieldwork at the Vent Copper Project (“Vent” or the “Project”) is complete and field crews are demobilizing. The Project is located in the Alberni Mining Division on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where the Company holds an option to acquire up to a 100% interest.

The program was carried out by Geomap Exploration Inc. and included geological mapping, prospecting, and soil and rock sampling. Building on the progress reported in the Company’s September 22, 2026 news release, the work was designed to improve the geological understanding of priority areas and assess the relationships between geochemical responses, geological contacts, structures, alteration and veining.

“With the fieldwork complete, our focus turns to evaluating the results and determining where to concentrate further exploration,” said Jared Suchan, Ph.D., P.Geo., Chief Executive Officer of Northern Discovery Metals. “Bringing the new mapping and sampling together with our existing geophysical information will help us assess which areas warrant more detailed investigation and what work is needed to advance them.”

The Company plans to integrate the field observations and laboratory results, following review and validation, with its existing geological, geochemical and airborne magnetic and VLF-EM datasets. This work will support refinement of the geological model and the ranking of areas for follow-up. Depending on the results, subsequent exploration may include focused induced polarization surveys or other ground geophysical work. The scope and timing of further fieldwork will be determined after evaluation of the Stage 1 results. No analytical results from the program are reported in this release. The Company intends to provide a further update following receipt and review of the results.
